Albufeira, located in Portugal’s sunny Algarve region, is a vibrant coastal town known for its stunning beaches, lively nightlife, and picturesque Old Town. Visitors can enjoy sun-soaked days lounging on sandy shores, taking jeep tours, bar crawls or visiting the water park. The vibrant atmosphere of its bustling bars and restaurants makes it a great destination for a stag party. In this article we explore the best activities, hotels and nightlife to enjoy.

How to get to Albufeira?

To reach Albufeira from London, travelers can opt for a flight to Faro Airport, the nearest major airport to Albufeira, with airlines offering direct flights from London airports such as Gatwick and Stansted.

The flight duration is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. From Faro Airport, travelers can take a shuttle bus, taxi, or rental car for the approximately 30 to 40-minute drive to Albufeira.

Best time of year to visit Albufeira for a stag party?

The best time to visit Albufeira is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is warm, and the beaches are less crowded.

These months offer pleasant temperatures for outdoor activities like beach lounging and exploring the town’s attractions. Additionally, hotel rates are generally lower compared to the peak summer season, making it an ideal time for budget-conscious travelers. When we went in September it was the right level of busy and comfort.
