Why pick the Camino for your next adventure?

The Camino de Santiago is a series of walking routes across Spain. Historically, the Camino was a pilgrimage which saw many religious seekers walk a spiritual journey to Santiago de Compostela.

Today, the Camino is walked for a number of reasons. Many people choose to take this journey for personal challenge, to socialise, see the fantastic scenery of Spain or to take some time out for contemplation.

The Camino is dear to our hearts, this is where our love for long distance walks began. It is difficult to beat the collegiate and friendly atmosphere that you find on the Camino. Walking a full Camino, or a section of this route is bound to inspire you, challenge you and maybe even change your life.

Key Information about the Camino de Santiago

DURATION

Full Camino routes require at least 30 days, however you can walk the Camino Portuguese in 14 days or choose a section of the Camino.

We can help you find the perfect walk to suit the time you have.

ACCOMMODATION

The Camino de Santiago is unique as there are extensive options for accommodation. Along the route, you can find “albergues”, which are shared dormitory style accommodation options. These are like hostels, but specifically tailored to pilgrims walking the Camino.

If albergues don’t sound right for you, don’t worry. There are also various pensions (B&Bs) along the route and in some areas, you can find more standard (or luxury) hotels too

We can help you to find the best accommodation for you.

TERRAIN

Walking a full Camino for 30 days can prove challenging. However, daily stages can be tailored to suit you and your fitness levels.

The route is well marked and easy to navigate. Each route tends to involve some trail walking, road & pavement sections. You can read more about the individual routes to get an idea of the terrain.
